Frequently Asked Questions

When travelling to a country like South Africa it’s important you are well prepared. We give our clients peace of mind through our hands-on experience, personalized service and expert local knowledge.

Due to the varying climates in the different regions, South Africa is a year-round destination. However, it depends on where you will be travelling and what your areas of interest are. We’ve listed some popular times to travel and will make our recommendations based on your preferences:

*Game viewing and safari: Thanks to the cooler weather, later sunrises and the earlier sunsets, we recommend the winter months from May to September, although game reserves are beautiful to visit all year round.

*Cape Town and surrounding areas: The summer months between November and February are best.

*Whale Watching: Southern Right, Humpback and Bryde whales are more likely to be seen from July to November.

*Wild flowers in the Western Cape: Although it’s difficult to predict because of rains, tourists can normally count on late August/early September.

*Drakensberg Although it can be rainy, it’s best to visit in the summer months between October and February.

Once you are happy with the itinerary we will request a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due 8 weeks before travel.
